Lars Odeskaug,
President & CEO

Lars Odeskaug, born 1953, holds a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh, Scotland 1976.

In total, Mr. Odeskaug has more than 25 years experience in engineering, fabrication and management within the oil and gas industry. He was one of the pioneers in the offshore oil business in Norway in the late 70's and 80's, holding senior engineering positions with Brown & Root, and working for Mobil, Exxon and Norsk Hydro.

Mr. Odeskaug was Project Manger for Advanced Production and Loading (APL) for the Conoco Heidrun DSL crude oil loading system in 1993 and 1994. This was the first major Submerged Turret Loading (STL) installation worldwide. Since startup in 1995, the installation has delivered 100% regularity.

From 1994 to 2002, Mr. Odeskaug was Managing Director of Hitec Marine. He developed the company from a small, North Sea oil and gas products supplier to a leading international player within the offshore oil loading industry, with subsidiaries and agents covering the international market. Hitec Marine had a 50% worldwide market share under Mr. Odeskaug’s leadership.

In 2002, HitecVision, the owners of Hitec Marine, sold the company to APL but retained the technology rights to the HiLoad Technology and formed Remora Technology. Mr. Odeskaug was appointed President of Remora Technology in 2002. In 2005, the company TORP was spun off from Remora to focus on LNG terminal development. Lars Odeskaug was appointed Chief Executive Officer of TORP, a position that he has held since.


Leiv Olav Kallestad,
Executive VP Commercial Affairs

Leiv Kallestad, born in 1961, holds an MBA-equivalent in Finance from the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration, Bergen Norway 1987, and a degree in Operations Management from the University of Stavanger, Norway in 1982.

Mr. Kallestad has more than 22 years of international experience, with 20 of those years in the oil industry working for ExxonMobil and Conoco Phillips. He has wide ranging experience within finance, M&A, strategy, asset management and business development.

Beginning in 1994, Mr. Kallestad served 4 years at Mobil’s Headquarters in Farifax, Virgina in key upstream positions, prior to becoming Asset Manager for the company’s producing assets and development projects in the Norwegian North Sea. (including giant fields like Statfjord and Oseberg fields). He joined Conoco prior to the merger with Phillips in 2001 as General Manager for development projects, and later on as Director for Business Development Europe, Russia and CIS. He has also served as CFO and member of Group Management for two Norwegian publicly traded companies executing M&A transactions and company refinancing. Mr. Kallestad joined TORP in May 2006, as Executive Vice President Commercial Affairs.


Remko Hottentot,
VP Technology

Remko Hottentot, born in 1963, holds a BSC in Marine Mechanical Engineering from the institute of technology in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, 1986, and has more than 22 years of international experience in the marine and oil and gas industry.

From 1986 to 1997, Mr. Hottentot worked for various ship operators as seagoing marine engineer, superintendent and technical manager. He has a wide ranging experience from daily technical operations, dry dockings, new buildings, repairs, modifications, tender/bid preparation work, clains handling, and purchase of new and existing tonnage.

From 1997 to 2003, Mr. Hottentot was employed by Lloyd’s Register in Stavanger and Amsterdam involved in marine and offshore related survey work as marine senior surveyor, responsible for surveys of existing vessels, new building projects, safety management audits, business development and client relationship management.

Transferred in Lloyd’s Register from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur, his duties involved project manager for new buildings of ships and leading a business development program in the Oil and Gas industry for Floating Offshore Installations in South East Asia. He returned to Norway in 2007 as Global Client Manager, continuing the Oil and Gas business development in Norway.

In 2008, Mr. Hottentot worked as Technical Advisor in the Norwegian Clean Seas Organisation, in order to restructure e.g. their offshore fleet, operational procedures and maintenance routines.

He joined TORP in October 2008 as Vice President Technology.


Joseph P. Berno,
CEO TORP Terminal LP

Joseph P. Berno, born in 1958, holds a BA degrees in Accounting and Finance from Texas Tech University, Lubbock 1983.

Mr. Berno is a Certified Public Accountant with over 25 years experience in financial management, accounting and analysis. He began his career with PricewaterhouseCoopers in Houston, Texas, working primarily on audits of oil and gas production and oil field supply companies.

From 1986 to 1995, Mr. Berno worked with the Coca-Cola Company, American Medical International and SYSCO Corporation. During this period he served in various internal audit positions, as Manager of Capital Analysis serving 36 hospitals, as Foodservice Accounting Manager for the Minute Maid Foodservice Group and as controller of a juice manufacturing plant.

In 1995, Mr. Berno joined LD Communications Inc, a privately held telecommunications firm, as Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Secretary. In this capacity he was responsible for all areas of budgeting and analysis, treasury management, information systems, human resources and accounting.

From 2003 to 2005, Mr. Berno served as Controller for Thermo Process Instruments, a division of Thermo Electron and subsequently served in a consulting capacity for the El Paso Corporation, helping to manage financial reporting compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.

Mr. Berno joined TORP in May 2005 as Chief Financial Officer and assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer of TORP Terminal LP in May 2006.


Per Gunnar Andersen,
Manager Special Projects

Per Gunnar Andersen, born in 1947, holds a MSc. in Naval Architecture from Marine Engineering Technical University of Norway, Trondheim, 1970. Mr. Per Gunnar Andersen has more then 30 years experience in developing, commissioning, and management of LNG system within the oil and gas industry.

From 1971 to 2000, Mr. Andersen worked with the Kvaerner Group of Norway, serving in various technical positions.

In 1971, Mr. Andersen worked as a Manager of the LNG Cargo Handling department at Moss Rosenberg Verft, Stavanger, Norway, responsible for developing and commissioning the LNG Cargo Handling system for the world’s first 3 large Spherical Tank LNG carriers: “Norman Lady” in 1973, “Høegh Galleon” in 1974 and “Hilli” in 1975.

From 1976 to 1980, Mr. Andersen worked as a Project Manager for development of Moss Rosenberg’s “Marine LNG System”, a floating LNG liquefaction, storage and Offloading facility intended for the Iranian Gulf.

From 1980 to 2000, he served in various senior positions in Kvaerner’s Oil & Gas division in Norway, Canada, and the UK.

From 2001 to 2004, Mr Andersen joined Remora Technology, as a Consultant, developing the LNG regasification systems for the HiLoad LNG Regas facility. Since 2005, he has been employed directly by Torp as Manager of the LNG systems.


Jørund Moseid,
Project Engineer

Jørund Moseid, born in 1978, holds a MSc in Naval Architecture from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Trondheim, Norway, including a full year at ETSI Navales, Madrid, Spain.

He started his career in the offshore industry at Hitec Marine in 1998 upon graduation from high school. At this position, he prepared technical documentation and developed extensive CAD work. During his years at the University he was employed at Norsk Hydro, Sandvika, Norway, where he participated in planning and developing subsea pipelines for the Ormen Lange Subsea Gas Field, offshore on the west coast of Norway.

His master thesis was in hydrodynamic characteristics of the HiLoad technology.

For two years he was a Maritime Trainee, a recruitment project housed by the Norwegian Ship owners Association, where he was one of 25 young graduates selected from 1500 applicants to work to improve the recruitment to the maritime industry in Norway. He was employed with Grieg Shipping Group where he worked the last 6 months as a Technical Superintendent responsible for technical follow up and management of a 46'DWT General Cargo Vessel.

He joined Torp in 2007 and will be strengthening the technical team in the company.


John P. Harvat,
Government & Regulatory Affairs Manager

John P. Harvat, holds a BS in Biology (1973) and MS degree in Entomology & Fisheries (1979) from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis/St. Paul.

Mr. Harvat began his career in the environmental consulting industry in 1973, conducting environmental monitoring of non-point storm water runoff in urban watersheds and baseline environmental studies for hard rock mining prospects in Northern Minnesota for nine years. He continued studies of mining operations in the 1980s, working with mining companies engaged in oil shale permitting prospects in the Rocky mountain area, and the Texas lignite industry. He also managed large permitting projects in the railroad and telecommunications industry during the 1990’s.

His services in the oil and gas industry began in 1990, and has continued to the present, He started with permitting water discharges from natural gas compressor stations along a 500 mile pipeline, continued with preparing FERC Section 7c environmental filings, property transfer site assessments, and environmental assessments and impact statements for natural gas pipelines.

Beginning in 2001, he assisted project engineers address the environmental issues associated with design of offshore LNG regasification terminals. Relevant LNG projects include managing the preparation of the environmental permit applications and securing the permits for Chevron Port Pelican, the first deepwater natural gas port to be licensed, assisting the US Coast Guard, as the third party contractor project manager, prepare the Compass Port EIS, and currently assisting TORP permit the Bienville Offshore Energy Terminal.


Tina V. Palughi,

Tina Palughi holds a MBA from the University of St. Thomas and a BA Degree in Accounting from the University of Houston.

Ms. Palughi has over 25 years of experience in the banking, food service, oil service, pipeline, and venture capital industries, with principal expertise in financial analysis, accounting and human resources. From 1981 to 1990, Ms. Palughi worked for a major US bank in their international department. In 1990 Ms. Palughi joined Coca Cola Foods Company, where she was in charge of the general ledger department of their foods service division.

In 1998 Ms. Palughi worked for Landmark Graphics, a Halliburton Company, as a financial analyst. In 2001, Ms. Palughi joined Sago Energy, where she was responsible for the accounting, pipeline system balancing and gas nomination functions.

She began with Hitec Vision family in late 2001 and has served as Controller/Financial manager of several ventures including Visi-Image, Remora and TORP.
