TORP LNG will design, permit, construct, install and operate LNG receiving and regasification terminals internationally, based on the HiLoad Technology, alone or in partnerships.
TORP Terminal LP, a partnership between TORP and Siemens, filed a deepwater port application in 2006 with the US Maritime Administration (MARAD) and the US Coast Guard for its offshore regasification terminal in Main Pass Block 258, US Gulf of Mexico, named the Bienville Offshore Energy Terminal. Bienville will provide tolling services, and TORP LNG will not take commodity ownership. Bienville will offer the users a solution that yields lower cost, superior netbacks, better market access, and more flexibility then alternative GoM terminals.
TORP, in close cooperation with Italian utility Sorgenia, is developing an offshore LNG terminal off the coast of Italy. Current plans are to file an application with Italian authorities in 2009 for the construction of the terminal.
In response to market demand, TORP LNG has developed an LNG regas terminal solution called EasyLNG. The EasyLNG terminal is specifically designed for protected and shallow water applications with smaller volumes, where the HiLoad LNG Regas technology may not be competitive.
TORP LNG is working with cryogenic hose manufacturers to be able to offer the HiLoad with cryogenic floating or submerged flexibles as the most safe and reliable method for offshore transfer of LNG.
